Get ready for the most exciting book sale of the year! Dive into a treasure trove of thousands of hardback and paperback books spanning every genre you can imagine! Additionally, we offer a wide selection of DVDs in various formats, as well as a few puzzles just waiting to be discovered.
Remember, it's first come, first served, so arrive early to snag the best picks! Our selection changes frequently throughout the day, ensuring there's always something new to explore. And the best part? Everything is priced to sell!

We have some fun activities planned for the kids! They'll get to make crafts and then pick a free book to take home. We'll be creating beaded octopuses, painting rocks, and making bookmarks. It's a great time for the whole family.
Our booth will be located on the north side of Pioneer Park, next to the Saw Shop, and along the Tiller Trail Highway.

Oregon’s Museum of Natural and Cultural History Presents Native Innovations
We’re excited to partner with the Museum of Natural and Cultural History to bring you Native Innovation, an exhibit celebrating how the First Nations in Oregon have used knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills to live and thrive for thousands of years.
This interactive exhibit will be available in the library from October 1st to October 23rd. Additionally, special classroom presentations will be offered on a first-come, first-served reservation basis. Don't miss this opportunity!

Youth Reading Hour with Bergin College of Canne Studies
Join us for a unique reading experience at the Canyonville Library with our friends from Bergin College of Canine Studies! On Thursday, July 3rd, from 1 PM to 2 PM, children are invited to read to trained therapy dogs.
This special event offers a wonderful opportunity to improve reading skills while interacting with these amazing dogs in training. Don’t miss out on this engaging educational experience!

Authors Night
On Thursday, June 19th at 6:30 PM, we will host a special evening event featuring local, award-winning author Robert Heilman. Bob will read and discuss excerpts from his recent book, “While Librarians Wept: A Library System Dies, 1997-2017.” This book compiles his personal archive of writings documenting his efforts to preserve the Douglas County Library System, an eleven-library agency supported by the county government, over the course of twenty years marked by funding cuts.
We’ll have light refreshments available, so bring a friend and join us for an engaging evening of literature and discussion. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with the community and support our local literary scene—your presence matters!

Join us in kicking off the Summer Reading Program with our friends at the Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History. in presenting ‘POWER PLAY FOR THE PLANET”
Saving planet Earth together can be loads of fun! Join us to play games, solve puzzles, and tackle wacky challenges. The whole family will enjoy exploring the environment, designing solutions, and imagining a brighter future.
The Power Play for the Planet program is targeted at a family audience with elementary-age children and is presented by a museum educator. The program includes a short and lively presentation followed by activity tables offering a variety of fun, hands-on activities.

Days Creek Charter School Art Display
NOW ON DISPLAY
Prepare to be amazed by a stunning piece of art brought to life by the talented students at Days Creek Charter School. This dynamic collaboration spans kindergarten through high school and showcases the incredible creations of the Art Exploration Students. Inspired by the textile artist Bisa Butler Fine Art, these young artists have crafted individual 6x6 squares that come together to form breathtaking sculptures reminiscent of the works of Charles McGee.
These vibrant pieces have been thoughtfully assembled into one beautiful paper "quilt" artwork. Each student has infused their unique personality and cherished passions into their contribution, making this a special display!
Don't miss the chance to experience this extraordinary masterpiece — it will be displayed at the library through August 2, 2025.
