February Events

Let's embrace the theme of "Love Your Library, Love Literacy" as we remind ourselves of the importance of caring for our hearts—both physically and through the love of books. Join us for activities that promote community and highlight the joy of reading!

Valentine's Day is coming up, and we're excited! Children and teens are welcome to drop by on Saturday, February 14th, to create a special craft to give to their Valentine. It's a wonderful way to celebrate and share some love.

CELEBRATION OF LITERACY MONTH

Come celebrate literacy with us all month long! We’re excited to kick things off on Saturday, February 7th, with “Take Your Child to the Library Day.” This year’s theme, “Once Upon A Dragon,” will make our activities even more fun—like making dragon slime! There’s also a book scavenger hunt for kids all month long.

Both children and adults can participate in book bingo. Pick up your Bingo sheets at the library.

In partnership with Altrusa International of Roseburg, we are excited to celebrate literacy at the Wildlife Safari on Saturday, February 21st, from 10 AM to 3 PM. All Douglas County residents can enjoy free admission to the Wildlife Safari Drive-Thru by presenting a driver's license or the event flyer, which is available at the library.

You can visit our booth in the Village for a fun Zoo scavenger hunt and book giveaways.  There will also be other book giveaways, temporary tattoos, a fishing booth, a book exchange, crafts, a scavenger hunt, and engaging animal encounters. Don't miss out on this fun-tastic event!
