Welcome to the Canyonville Library

Since our establishment in 2017, the Canyonville Community Library has blossomed into a vibrant, independent nonprofit library driven by the passion of dedicated volunteers and the generous support of donors like you. Picture a place where the love of reading and learning thrives — this is the heart of our community!

We serve residents across South Douglas County, offering far more than books: a place to gather, learn, and connect. As an independent library — not part of a county tax district — we rely entirely on donations, grants, and the generosity of our community to keep our doors open and our programs growing.

With the backing of generous supporters, we continue to grow and innovate, providing a welcoming space designed to meet diverse needs and enhance accessibility for everyone. 

The Canyonville Library serves a 65-mile radius encompassing the communities of Canyonville, Days Creek, Tiller, Milo, Azalea, and the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Indians. 

Additionally, the library is a member of the Douglas Community Library Association (DCLA), which collaborates with seven other rural libraries throughout the county to enhance community resources, services, and programs. Your community library card provides access to the catalog of all eight libraries, the inter-library loan system, and the ability to visit in person and borrow materials.

The American Library Association guides our standards of excellence, emphasizing our commitment to promoting education, learning, and information sharing. 

We provide community members access to quality materials and host enriching programs and events throughout the year. Please check our events page to stay informed.
