Engineer It! - Family Night at the Library

  • Canyonville Community Library 250 North Main Street Canyonville, OR United States (map)

Build a shelter, design a boat, weave a basket, or invent a fishing tool!

Native American people have long utilized science and engineering to create tools, homes, clothing, cooking methods, and other essential items, passing this knowledge down through generations. Try out your own engineering skills with fun, hands-on challenges, and learn about tools and technologies designed by Oregon's first engineers.

Join us at the Canyonville Community Library on Wednesday, October 22nd, from 5:30 - 7:30 pm to explore traditional Native American technologies and try out hands-on engineering challenges.

This program is brought to us by the Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History and sponsored by the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Indians. For more information, email Linda at lgrace.canyonvillelibrary@gmail.com.
