Authors Night

On Thursday, June 19th at 6:30 PM, we will host a special evening event featuring local, award-winning author Robert Heilman. Bob will read and discuss excerpts from his recent book, “While Librarians Wept: A Library System Dies, 1997-2017.” This book compiles his personal archive of writings documenting his efforts to preserve the Douglas County Library System, an eleven-library agency supported by the county government, over the course of twenty years marked by funding cuts.

We’ll have light refreshments available, so bring a friend and join us for an engaging evening of literature and discussion. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with the community and support our local literary scene—your presence matters!

Please RSVP for this event - canyonvillecommunitylibrary@gmail.com or 541-839-4727
